Privacy policy
Your designs are yours. Here is what Knighn stores.
Last updated 29 September 2026.
What we store
Your account email address, if you create an account. A guest account has no email address.
The design files and assets that you upload or save to your Knighn account.
Your API keys. We store each key as a hash. We cannot read a key after you create it.
Payments
Stripe processes payments for Pro on the web. Apple processes payments in the iOS app. Knighn does not store card numbers.
We send account email, such as sign in and password messages, with Resend. We do not send marketing email.
Usage analytics
We use PostHog to count which pages and features people use, for example when you create, open or export a design. When you are signed in, these events include your account id, name and email address. They never include your designs, file names or chat messages.
To stop this in the app, turn off Share usage analytics in Settings, General.
Service providers
Convex stores your account, designs and assets. Vercel serves this site and the web editor. Sentry receives error reports, with keys, tokens and email addresses taken out first.
Stripe, Apple, Resend and PostHog do the jobs named above.
Integrations
When you connect Vercel, GitHub or Convex in Settings, Connections, the token stays on your device: in the system keychain on the Mac, or in your browser. Knighn uses it only when you deploy, open a pull request or read data. Sign in with GitHub passes through Knighn to GitHub, and Knighn stores nothing from it.
Partner links
If you sign up through a partner link, the partner sees that an account signed up, the date and whether it is on Pro. The partner never sees your name, email address or designs.
What we do not do
We do not show ads.
We do not sell your data.
We do not share your design files with third parties, except the service providers named on this page.
Connected apps and API keys
You can connect an app, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your Knighn account. The app can then see and edit the design files in your account, with only the permissions you allowed. An agent that holds one of your API keys can list, read, upload and edit the design files in your account.
A connected app sends Knighn only its tool calls, for example a search or an edit. Knighn does not receive your conversation with the app.
We store connection tokens and API keys as hashes. Revoke a connected app or a key at any time from Settings, Connections, in the app.
How long we keep data
We keep your account, design files, earlier versions of your designs and assets until you delete them or delete your account.
A connected app gets an access token that ends after one hour, and a refresh token that ends after 30 days. We delete tokens when they end, or when you revoke the app.
Delete your account
Delete your account from Settings in the app. This removes your account, your design files, your assets, your API keys and your connected apps.
